CHOCOLATE BABKA

For the dough

3 ½ cup refined flour
4tsp instant yeast
1tsp salt
1 ½ cups milk
¼ cup maple syrup

Simple syrup
¼ cup water
¼ cup sugar

Filling 

Nutella - Homemade or store bought

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • In a bowl, add some Luke warm milk and dry yeast
  • Add some salt and flour in the mix 
  • Lastly, add the maple syrup 
  • Knead the dough a little, not much kneading required 
  • Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 60 minutes
  • Flatten and release the air from the doubled size dough
  • Add Nutella and spread it on the dough
  • Fold it and roll it, cut it and put it in the baking tin
  • Let it proof, for 60 minutes 
  • And bake it for 35-40 minutes for 180 degrees
