Cocoa powder 1/2cup
Refined flour 2 tbsp
Salt 2gm
Egg 5
Sugar 2/3cup
Vanilla extract 1tsp

For the filling:
Chocolate ganache 200g
Whipped cream 100g

Chocolate ganache
Fresh strawberries
Fresh Blueberries
Fresh mint


  • Add all 5 eggs in a bowl with sugar
  • Whip this using a stand mixer/hand mixer 
  • Add the dry ingredients in batches and mix with the eggs
  • Add vanilla and whisk it one last time
  • Do not over beat the batter 
  • Pour the batter in your choice of tray (flat)
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes at 19 degrees
  • Take the cake out on a towel dusted with cocoa powder and immediately but gently, roll the cake in a log form
  • Prepare your chocolate ganache and let the cake rest in the log position
  • Add the whipped cream in the ganache 
  • Spread the chocolate whipped cream on the cake and roll it back again in a log form, chill it in the fridge for 30 minutes 
  • Finally, add some chocolate ganache on top of the log cake and run a fork to give a wooden look
  • Add some decorations of your choice and enjoy!
